Hospital, homes, offices and church on the way! Where the city once ended at Transmountain Road and there was nothing but desert beyond, the pieces of a new community in Northwest El Paso are beginning to sprout: a hospital, a church, a school, as well as homes and businesses.
More than 300,000 cubic yards of dirt has been moved and steel is being erected where Tenet Healthcare is building a new teaching hospital, executives say.
Nearby Automatic Data Processing Inc. expects to finish its new building in October, where it plans to employ 1,200 people by 2020.
